Before Forrest Mankins was a commercial photographer, he was a musician. But something didn’t feel right: he knew he wasn’t where he needed to be. A feeling slowly started to grow that he needed to take the jump into a new career path. Sometimes the hardest part is having the faith to make that jump. Forrest reflects on that moment in his life. My name is Forrest Mankins. I’m a photographer and director based in Whitefish, Montana.  My passion lies in the joy of the journey, and my work comes from a desire to tell the stories that happen along the way. When I’m not traveling on assignment or shooting in my own backyard, I spend my time cooking, fly fishing, and camping with my wife Claire and our pups Penny and Dot. I am driven to create every day, and with over 800,000 online followers and counting, I love sharing the people, places, and experiences that make life so wonderful.
